The Code Reviewed
The published cases increase understanding of how the Code should be interpreted, and provide good illustrations of how the Code applies in practical situations. There is an expectation that everyone working with the Code should have an up to date knowledge of published cases relevant to their day to day activities. The cases also often give an insight into what is regarded as best practice, and companies need to ensure that any learnings from the cases are incorporated in their procedures and processes
BUT
The published cases are often extremely lengthy, and important learnings can
be obscured by other details.
The Code Reviewed provides a summary of the published cases:
- A time-efficient way of keeping up to date
- Each case is summarised, usually to no more than one page
- The area of activity covered by each case is clearly identified so that readers can easily select the cases relevant to their function
- An expert view on the key learnings of each case
- Important details of each case are highlighted
- There is clear distinction between the specifics of each case, and the general principles which need to be drawn from it.
- The significance of each case is rated in relation to Code interpretation and implications for company activities
‘The Code Reviewed’ is published as three services. All are published monthly.
