The Code for Medical Information

The aim of the workshop is to provide participants with sufficient knowledge of the Code of Practice
- to understand the requirements of the 2008 Code in relation to Medical Information activities
- to undertake Medical Information review of promotional material
- to appreciate Code issues in relation to the Medical Information/Marketing interface
The workshop is designed to be highly interactive. It will include both formal presentation and group work and will provide ample opportunity for questions and discussion.
Participants
The workshop will be useful both for new Medical Information staff and for those with some experience. Previous knowledge of the Code of Practice is not essential.

Andrew Robson is an independent consultant in information management with in-depth experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Former Director of Global Medical Information at GlaxoSmithKline, he lectures at City University, London, on the postgraduate course in Pharmaceutical Information Management, and is editor and co-author of the reference textbook, Pharmaceutical and Medicines Information Management.
