Joan Barnard
Joan is firmly established as an expert on the Code, and has extensive experience of providing consultancy to companies on all aspects of the Code.
She is the author of “The Code in Practice”, a practical guide to the ABPI Code for Head Office staff, and “The Code in the Field”, a guide to the ABPI Code for Medical Representatives. Both books are now in their third editions and are used widely throughout the pharmaceutical industry.
Joan has provided training on the Code to many individuals through Code in Practice workshops in Central London and to many companies as in-house sessions.
Joan has nearly thirty years experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a range of medical positions, both in the UK and Internationally, and, for the last fifteen years, as a consultant.
Sharon McCullough
Sharon McCullough is a commercially focused pharmaceutical physician with 17 years industry experience covering both medical and marketing functions.
As well as providing copy approval services and Code training and consultancy, Sharon lectures on the commercial development of medicines to MSc students and is involved in the delivery of Specialist Training in Pharmaceutical Medicine.
Ian Hale
Ian’s 20 years of experience in Compliance and BSI lead auditor accreditation complements the rest of the CIP team. Ian has assisted large and small Pharma and Commercial companies in audit, process and re structure with great success.
Ian trains companies and individuals on the Code, audit, SOPs and also provides a comprehensive copy approval service. In addition, Ian can assist in the development of a compliance team with specific training developed in house.
