How do I keep up to date?
- The best way to keep up to date is by studying the quarterly Code of Practice Review. By providing full details of all cases, this gives an insight into how the Code is interpreted and also an indication of what the current ‘hot’ topics are.
Your company will almost certainly receive a copy of this or copies are available free of charge from PMCPA - 'The Code Reviewed' is a summary of the Code of Practice Review by Dr Joan Barnard . If your company subscribes to this, you can use it as an easy way of identifying cases of interest and the issues they raise. - Discussion of Code issues with colleagues is extremely useful. This can be done on a purely informal, ad hoc basis, or more formally e.g. in a regular ‘Promotional Affairs Meeting’, run in a similar fashion to a journal club.
